Marvel's Avengers

The Avengers

Now that the set is complete, I thought I'd post a few group shots so you can see how they all look together. If anyones been tempted to make them but not got around to it yet, I hope this will give you the incentive!

As you can see, they make a pretty good team. I DO feel that something's certainly missing so I MAY get around to making a Loki sometime in the future. If I do, I might do a Chitauri army builder as well, but this won't be for a while.

Here's links to all of the individuals pages, incase you've just been linked to this page, and to save everyone dredging back through all my old files to find the Iron Man. (Though I'd love you to go through all the old pages anyway, there's even a silver surfer and a lot of models I guarantee any X-Men fans will love)

Marvel's Avengers: Nick Fury

Nick Fury

Here's the last of my Movie Avengers for the moment...

This model turned out pretty well and I thought would be a good adition to the rest of the team. His jacket may give you a few issues, but if you just look back at the pictures of him you should be able to see more earily how I've fitted it together. And for anyone reading Scarlet Spider (which is a great read, as well as the current Venom series) I guess he can double as  616 Fury Jr as well now.

I wanted to give him a rocket launcher too but had no idea how I'd fit it on to the model. You'll notice as well that some of the details have changed in the file compared to the picture above as a few different highlights on the jacket have been more evident on images released since I first put together the model and I've incorporated these into the file. This just means the version you make will be a little more accurate.

Last but not least, he actually does have the cosmic cube in the briefcase, incase you missed it in the earlier preview. I've tried to make a simple hinge mechanism so that you can open and close the briefcase without damaging it.

Any questions feel free to ask, and I'd LOVE to hear any feed back that you have!

Marvels Avengers: Hawkeye

Hawkeye

On to the penultimate model of my Movie Avengers....

Warning : You're going to need a needle and thread for this one!!!

This model took a lot of constant rework to get his look right, and to get his position how I wanted it. It wasn't really until the face started to take on his essence more and all of his accessories started piling up that I began to think he was right...  and now I think he's probably one of my favourite of the Avengers models that I've done.

He does get quite intricate in parts, so you'll notice that he's probably got more instructions included on the pages than any other files have to date. If things seem far more complicated than they should be, just sit back, relax, and try and picture the shape in your head, to see if it makes it easier seeing how it goes together (and remember you can refer to the pictures here).

The arrows in the quiver is just an illusion to look like he's got loads of arrows..  it still doesnt mean the shape isn't going to be a pain to cut out and fold though.

I've also included his shades, as he has them on all the promotional materials, even if he doesn't seem to actually wear them at all in the film.

Quick Note to FIREFOX Users

QUICK Note to FIREFOX users

Just as a quick note, some people seem to be having an issue in Firefox with the PDF files not loading correctly and the plugin giving an error message.

For the moment, right click the file and click Save Link As to download it first and they should work fine!

I'll look into this issue some more and let you know what I find out

Marvels Avengers: Thor

Thor

Another of the completely new models.

So, let's be honest, I think this one is probably one of the most anticipated of my Avenger Models, as he's had a lot of requests. I really do hope he's lived up to people's expectations.

The hair works in a similar way to Storms, so the sides fix to the head once the head is complete. You'll notice I've not added markers for where the arms should go on this one. It should be clear, anatomically where they go, but this way it gives the added advantage that you can stick his arm wielding his hammer up in the air instead if you'd rather.

He comes with his hammer, obviously, and also a removeable helmet to make as an added extra. He is slightly taller than all of the other Avengers tho no-where near hulk height.

The cape may seem a bit confusing at first, but I've added what instruction I can. The tabs that fit on the shoulders especially may seem a bit strange, as they stick out over the edge of the body, but once the head and arms are in place, the look right and allow the cape to have some extra width.

Marvels Avengers : Black Widow

Black Widow

Here's the first of the completely new models. The top's done a bit differently to add a bit more too it, which looks really good on the finished model.

The most difficult part was the arms (which look different in the final model to how they do in the picture) because its SO hard getting arms in more dynamic poses to still look in proportion.. considering the entire model is so out of proportion.

I hope you like how it turned out though.

I've also included an alternate hairstyle for her Iron Man 2 look, as she did look smoking in that film and some of you might prefer this style. I've also tried to put as much instruction as I can into how all her straps and belts fix into place, but let me know if you need any clarification.

Have fun making her!

Marvels Avengers: Captain America

Captain America

On to the second of my Avengers team (or third I guess, as we've already got Iron Man further below)

Heres Captain America, updated with his Avengers uniform, which is actually a lot more complicated and detailed than it at first seemed. I actually had really mixed feelings about the hood from all the stills we were seeing, but after watching the film, it really doesn't stand out or look as funny as it did it pitctures.

Despite sharing the same body model, the whole figure has been redesigned. He even comes with two different heads, one with the mask and one without.

I'd thought about doing a removable helmet on him like Iron Man and.. err.. another model to be released ;) ... but I like the whole side parting  he's got going on.
